Olivia was the manager on and Pauly was our server! They have certainly raised the bar with their hospitality! They were nothing short of amazing! We ate there more than a few times during our stay! They really made us feel welcome here on our vacation! The entire meal was incredibly and everything tasted phenomenal! If you're in waikoloa I highly recommend dining at fosters if you want to feel welcomed wholeheartedly! 10/10!

My two daughters and I were on the Big Island in April celebrating one of their recent graduations from college. We wanted something delicious, affordable, memorable and special. Foster's Kitchen in the King's Shops hit all the marks. From the warm welcome when we entered the restaurant to the fantastic service from Sarah to the personable table visit by Chef Sheldon to the yummy food and drinks, we almost had to be rolled out! The menu includes lots of items for vegetarians like myself as well as diverse options with meat and seafood. I got the tomato bisque soup that comes with a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough and a side of vegetables. I tried to save some of my meal for leftovers, but it was just too delicious. Both girls ordered the country fried chicken with greens. They loved it! And if we weren't stuffed enough, Chef Sheldon surprised us with the banana pudding to heighten our celebration even more. It was truly to die for! It is definitely a unique Southern twist to an old time favorite. Bar drinks are reasonably priced and flavorful, especially the Island Mai Tai. If you want a delicious and all around positive dining experience, this is the place to go. If you visit during the day or before sunset, ask for a table overlooking the lake. Our only regret is that we live too far away to visit more regularly. Without a doubt, this meal was the best one we had during our entire week stay on the island.

We were so happy we found this gem of a place! First the food- everything we had was amazing. Our kids are sometimes picky but they both loved their grilled cheese off the kids menu. The coffee martini I had was delicious, as was the bruschetta, which was unique but delicious. We also had the veggie sandwich and primavera which were both wonderful. We appreciated all the vegetarian options. Our server Tanner was fantastic, so great with our kids and very friendly while still efficient and offering great service. We met the owner Olivia on our way out and had a lovely conversation about family where we felt even more welcome. Highly recommend this place for a lovely meal!

Foster’s Kitchen is definitely the place to be! We happened to be staying with-in walking distance of the restaurant so we figured we’d give it a try. From the moment we walked in, Olivia greeted us with a warm smile and the best customer service! We fell in love, so much so that we returned daily for four days straight! We didn’t try a single bad thing…. The crab cakes were to die for. Seared to perfection with a great crust. The fried chicken had a wonderful batter and was paired with some amazing mashed potatoes! My favorite was the Cajun pasta. Absolute best I’ve had! Thank you, again, Olivia! You made our experience here worth returning.

Service was outstanding. Our servers name was Rob. M. I ordered the steakhouse burger but was not a fan of the blue cheese at all. I told the served and without any questions he brought me a different one with no charge. He also never let my drink be empty. He always topped it off. Truly a great and kind server.

Our server, Leaith, was amazing. She was very sweet and took time to chat with our three year old. The seared ahi was incredible as were the crab cakes, and I’m a new fan of okolehao after trying the 1944 mai tai.

After a long day of traveling this place looked to fit the bill of what the family was looking for. A nice quiet bite to eat. Did not disappoint, The fish of the day was stripped Marlin, fantastic, kids cheese burgers, excellent. Happy hour tacos and zucchini rolls. Excellent. 90.00 bucks with drinks. Would recommend all day long.

As a family traveling with a 4.5-year-old child with celiac disease, finding truly safe gluten-free food — especially on the island — felt almost impossible. We were beyond happy to discover this restaurant! They genuinely understand celiac disease and take cross-contamination seriously, which is something incredibly rare to find. For the first time during our vacation, we could let our son eat without constantly worrying about the consequences afterward. Not only was the food safe, it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is so warm and welcoming, and the owner is truly amazing — kind, caring, and attentive. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. We ended up coming back almost every day of our trip because the experience was just that good. Even the rest of our family, who do eat gluten, loved the food and could fully enjoy the meals without feeling like they were “missing out” for choosing a gluten-free-friendly place. A truly exceptional experience — highly, highly recommended for anyone with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity!

Highly Recommend this Restaurant Atmosphere is so relaxing and they have tables close to the water for a Beautiful view while you eat. We had the Bruschetta and Crab Cakes for appetizers They were gone in seconds..Delish! I should of ordered 2 Bruschetta apps that's how good they are. My Husband had fried pork chops over mashed potatoes with grilled vegetables and I had the stuffed chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. My Son had the steakhouse burger and everything was so good that we were passing our plates around for each one of us to try what we each got. We also had the lava coladas mango was so good and so was the strawberry. Those are dangerous lol Our waiter was Pauly and he was Exceptional! Made us feel at home. Thanks for the wonderful dinner and atmosphere and the Most sweetest staff!
